1. I think my class today went really well. I had a lot of fun. I felt bouncy and excited and I hope that I was able to excite my students - I only have eight of them.
2. European Intellectual History = AMAZING. Bruce Thompson is incredible. He teaches in three depts. that matter to me: Lit, History, and Jewish Studies. And I've gotten through four years of college without taking a class with him.
His class will also significantly reduce my "shame list," my list of authors/theorists I'm ashamed I haven't read by now as a lit/history major. I haven't read Waiting for Godot, and I haven't read anything by Keynes or Nietzche, Heidigger, Ibsen, or Levi-Strauss, and a number of other canonical intellectuals that I should have read by now.
Ok. Time to go read and get some sleep. I'm wiped out from all the excitement today. ::yawn::
