In the late spring of this year, I had the following conversation with Mary Beth:
"I'm going to make you a quilt for you and P when you get married. What kind do you want?"
"Let's ask P."
"He doesn't care. You get to pick."
"Okay, I've always wanted a cathedral window quilt."http://www.sewing.com/projects/cathedralwindow/index.shtml for an example and directions.
"Ah...no."
Well, why ask then, right?

So now I have it in my head that I really do want a cathedral window quilt now. So Mary Beth showed me how. I'm making mine in black instead of muslin and have bright colors for the center. MB says I'll irritate all the quilting fascists with my color choices. I started it at the beginning of October and am about 2/9th through for a 3 foot square wall hanging.

Now I'm obsessed. We went to the International Quilting Festival in Houston. While there, I bought a quilting machine. http://www.gammill.com/?m=products_long_arm&r=4. My business plans to get a jump start offering electric quilting. We went to the San Antonio Quilt Guild meeting and they have over 300 members. MB has a bunch of quilts that she needs finishing already. I'm working my embroidery machine to death making dragons for a quilt for P.
