The Dead Line

I am...numb right now. "The Dead Line" was so brilliant I really don't know what to do with mysely. This one was by far my favorite radio play yet. It was amazing. AND I WAS RIGHT! IT WAS (quasi) IANTO CENTRIC! He was...beautiful. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a Ianto fangirl.

All of the characters were perfectly written, dead-on in fact. I loved that Rhys played a bigger role in this one. Gwen didn't make me want to kill her (except for the part where she acts like a clingy wife to warn Rhys) and Jack (when he talked) was so fantastically Jack it was brilliant. Ianto...I don't even have words to describe how perfect Ianto was. Concerned lover? Check. Badass Torchwood Agent? Check. Genius who saves the day? Check. And heart-breaking delivery of a monologue at Jack's bedside? Check. "Come back to me Jack!" NEAR TEARS! And his interactions with Jack were just so spot on and his dry  humor...SO GOOD!

The developement and interactions of the characters made it the most perfect lead in to series 3. (Lucky poops in the UK get it tomorrow....)

It was just...perfect. And the last line...I'm pretty sure I felt my heart break in two. I barely managed not to cry. UGH!

A+ times three thousand for "The Dead Line". I can't say it enough, it was brillaint. So good!

Listen to it here. You won't be sorry you did.
