The Poetic Ballad of Heath ... Cliff...
By quietprofanity Rick, The People's Poet

Warnings: The Young Ones isn't mine.
Dedication: for temperance_doll For my stupid flatmate Vyvyan, who wouldn't know art if it bit him in his bogey bum. I can only hope that this poem will help him.

Oh Cliff, Oh Cliff
The critics were miffed,
When you took to the stage as Heath ... Cliff.

But what they could not understand
Is that The Kids throughout the land
(Of London, And of the rest of the United Kingdom)
Alone knew of your glorious talent, Oh Cliff.

Critics may keep us down,
Like Tony Blair and Margaret Thatcher
But in the end there is always you, Cliff.
Out on the winding, windy moors of CLIFF!
