Tatsuya sighed as he walked out of his bathroom wearing only a pair of red boxers and his necklace that held the ring from Junno shining from the shower water. The only other thing he was wearing was a towel around his neck to dry his hair.
It was Christmas and yet he was alone. Earlier, Junno had told him at the last minute his family had insisted on him coming home for Christmas. They hadn’t even invited him, even though they were well aware of Junno’s relationship with him and accepted it.
“I see fairies.” Was a phrase he had uttered backstage at a concert once and while he had said it to lighten the atmosphere, he truly did believe in them.
And right now, he really wished that one would appear before him so he could wish for Junno to come home. But he knew it was unlikely one would appear. So he decided to try and do something to take his mind off of Junno, even if it didn’t last long.
He sat down on the couch and turned on the TV as he dried his hair. There was some comedy Christmas drama showing, and he decided to watch it. An hour later when it was over, he got up and went into the bedroom and pulled on a pair of pajama pants and a red t-shirt that had the words ‘Merry Christmas’ written across the front. Jin had bought every single group member the same shirt and sent it to them before Christmas last year.
He sighed and wandered into the kitchen to get some hot tea, his damp hair swaying slightly as he moved. As he moved to go back into the living room, he caught sight of the Christmas tree he and Junno had put up together just a few days ago. They had been too busy with work to put one up any earlier so it ended up going up just days before Christmas.
He remembered how instead of decorating the tree, they were the ones that ended up being decorated.
~Flashback~
“Junno, hey come on stop that! We’re supposed to be decorating the tree, not each other!” Tatsuya shouted as he ran from Junno who was chasing after him with a couple of ornaments in both outstretched hands.
Junno just laughed and continued to chase after him. As he kept running, Tatsuya got an idea and so he ran past the dining table that was covered with various Christmas decorations and grabbed a bunch of the silver garlands lying there.
He stopped running and turned to face Junno. “Well, if you’re going to be that way, I might as well fight back.” A grin spread across his face as he advanced on Junno. Junno began backing away slowly. However, he didn’t make it very far because Tatsuya suddenly jumped on him and knocked him to the ground.
The two began laughing instantly at how silly they both looked. They had various strings of tinsel hanging from their hair and the few ornaments that had been adorning their shirts had been knocked off in the fall.
“Junno…” Tatsuya spoke with a smirk on his face, and the next thing Junno knew his hands were tied together with the garland and he wasn’t able to get them free.
Tatsuya got off Junno and then proceeded to help the other up and then lead him to the bedroom, the garland pulled off along the way and left lying there on the floor in the hallway. When they woke up the next morning their limbs were entwined under the sheets and they both began laughing at the sight of tinsel still in each others hair.
~End Flashback~
That had been a really good night, even if they hadn’t managed to get the tree completely decorated until the following day. Tatsuya smiled as he remembered what had transpired that night, but shook himself out of his thoughts a moment later.
He walked over to the couch and set down his cup of tea before taking a seat on the couch. Leaning over and grabbing his guitar, he decided that he would work on a song.
Instead of working on a new song, he found himself playing a few Christmas songs just for the fun of it, and it was indeed fun to do. He blamed Jin for it though. He had gone around the entire day yesterday singing Christmas songs as loud as he could, resulting in laughter, and the rest of the group getting the songs stuck in their heads.
He glanced down at the sheets of music spread messily across the coffee table, various notes and lyrics scribbled on them. He momentarily glared at one that had a coffee stain on it before breaking out in a smile. Junno had been bringing him a cup of coffee and Jin had come running into him from behind and caused the coffee to go flying and it ended up spilled all over the place.
Jin was forbidden from ever running around in his apartment again after that.
As he began playing one of the songs he was working on, he failed to hear the door to the apartment open, and he failed to hear someone walking into the apartment and towards him.
He only was aware of someone else’s presence in the apartment when he felt a hand gently touch his shoulder. He jumped a little at that but he stayed calm and carefully stood up and turned to see who it was. His jaw dropped open at the sight that greeted him. It was a smiling and slightly blushing Junno.
… Dressed as a fairy, wearing a red and a green costume, with a red tiara like thing on his head.
“Your Christmas fairy is here to grant you any wish you’d like.” Junno said in a high pitched voice, ending with a grin. At that Tatsuya instantly went into a fit of laughter, which caused him to drop his guitar onto the ground. After he recovered he looked at Junno again and smiled.
“Well Christmas fairy, you have already granted my one wish.” Tatsuya said as he walked towards Junno, and as Tatsuya got closer, Junno placed his hands on the other’s waist and gave him a confused look.
“My wish was for you to be home with me for Christmas, and it came true.” Tatsuya spoke softly, and glancing up at Junno, a slight blush on his face.
“I see… Well, I’m glad your wish could be granted. Merry Christmas, Tat-chan.” Junno said back before he leaned down and captured the others lips with his own. Later that night as they lay in bed, the fairy costume long since removed, Tatsuya spoke up.
“So you really weren’t called home by your family, were you?”
“Actually I was, and they did invite you, but I told them that I wanted to spend this Christmas alone with you.”
Tatsuya grinned and moved to rest his head on Junno’s warm chest his left arm hooked around the other’s waist.
“Merry Christmas, Junno.” He whispered before he fell asleep, with Junno following him into slumber shortly after.
OWARI~ ((Yay~! I finally finished my JunDa christmas fic! I’m not sure I’m 100% satisfied with this, because I think I wanted it more cracky, but I am happy with how it turned out.))
