What is with girls and getting married?

Why is it that, some of my friends, the minute they graduated, all they could think of is getting fucked up by guys married that they're willing to risk everything they've worked for

I totally understand your feelings. It's like, I can't imagine getting married at such an early age when everything is still up in the air coz you're just starting a new phase in life, and these people, not sure if they're brave or what, they get married while just starting to work and they have to adjust to two new phases in life.

I have a colleague now, a senior Engineering student in our uni, during his orientation his wife had his baby. And we graduated the same time (end of last year). Plus now, with the baby, his wife who has a UK degree? Is now a housewife. I call that a total waste of money. But they've known each other a few years before they got hitched so...*shrugs*

It might be the mindset of your race, unfortunate to say. With the strict no touching rule, it's no wonder people get married the second they can. But thing is, you only spend, what a couple of years at most with this one guy, and most of the time you don't even know how he acts in private coz you're not allowed to be together in private and you're banking that whatever "face" he shows you while you're dating is the one that will last throughout your marriage.

I'm terrified to even think about it, but to each his or her own I guess. Anyway, being single is cool coz you get to keep all of your pay (and spend it on shopping), lol!
