2 finished quilts, and a preview!
Starflies, a sashed friendship star for my friend Kelly as a 30th birthday/Masters grad gift. It's an inside joke that the middle row is opposite of the other two. Expect to see several more... when I decided to make us (my tight knit group of besties since middle school) coordinating quilts for 30th birthday, I neglected to tabulate that 3 out of seven of the gang will hit 30 this year...then I have a year till Katie, and then i'm last! It's about 52x52, so it will fit nicely into the her electric wheelchair without getting caught in the footpedals. She likes pink, purple, black, and butterflies (see black tone on tone), and thankfully really liked it.
Monkeying Around, Feb 2010. Pattern: Yellow Brick Road. This one was made for one of the ladies I used to go to church with, or rather for her daughter Olivia, who will hopefully join the world soon as we all can't wait to meet her. Not long now, her due date is Tuesday!
This last one is me with my finished bag at retreat last weekend. One of the ladies longarmed 30 bags with our guild logo, and we each brought fabric for the handles and such. Amazing how different they all looked even though they all started out the same. I fell in love with this fabric, so look out for a quilt soon!
