Summary: The fallout of Book 7 for Helena Ravenclaw.
They talk about her now more than ever.
The passage of time is a strange thing to a ghost - it seems that she blinks and an entire generation has slipped by without notice. Time doesn't mean anything when there isn't an end in sight, so she has spent the last few centuries drifting by, occasionally taking note of an exceptional Ravenclaw. As time had passed, the memory of who she had been faded away, and she ceased to be her mother's daughter and became Ravenclaw's ghost.
Then Harry Potter happened.
It's strange to hear her name spoken, and she feels vulnerable in a way she hasn't since she died. People know, and the mystique she's built crumples within a day. They rebuild her beloved Hogwarts, but she is destroyed beyond repair.
Nowadays, she hears the students whisper her story at the welcoming feast, sharing all the ghastly details about how she betrayed her mother. They talk about poor Helena and how she'd been one of the first tricked by You Know Who. They watch her pass in the hallways, but she know it isn't respect she commands anymore.
She wishes she could go back to just being The Grey Lady.
