Series: CCS!
Characters: Touya and Yukito
Prompt: kitchen mishaps
When Touya arrived home, he wasn't upset to see the fire department on his front lawn. Despite no longer having his extrasensory abilities, he still managed to cope with the surprises life regularly threw his way with aplomb.
His heart picked up a pace until he saw the sight of Yukito standing next to the fire captain, wearing a sheepish expression, along with a yellow apron and slippers. Pushing through the gathered gawkers, Touya made a beeline for his significant other.
Yukito caught sight of him almost immediately, and his expression brightened as he called out, "To-ya!"
Touya closed the distance between them, reaching out to grasp Yukito by the shoulders to reassure himself there was nothing too wrong. There might be smoke coming from the house, but all that really mattered was outside. He gave Yukito a smile to reassure him, before asking, "I thought I told you I'd do all the cooking, Yuki?"
"I wanted to do something special to celebrate your new job?"
"I can live without special, Yuki," Touya said, shaking his head as a second fire truck arrived to supply more water.

Character(s): Tezuka and Fuji
Prompt: chemistry lab
Despite what some people may have believed, there was no better partner in chemistry lab than Fuji Syuusuke. He was not careless, and his labs always ended up with textbook perfect results.
Tezuka watched as Fuji carefully measured the reactants into the glass tube. Fuji was just as meticulous as anyone could have wished, getting the amount perfect down to the milliliter. Then he stepped back, smiling as he lit the bunsen burner to speed up the reaction. Then he picked up a stirring rod, preparing to work on the second phase of the experiment, leaving Tezuka to make the recordings from the first.
Tezuka observed Fuji's graceful hands at work, and couldn't help but wonder how those hands would feel on his body.

Characters: Lavi, Kanda
Prompt: in a world of our creation
There is talk among the Order about sending explorers onto the Ark to further study the marvels it represents. Scientists vie for the chance to be including in the work party, but it takes an order from the remaining generals to force Exorcists to participate. None of them had very good experiences the last time, but the scientists need protection from more than mere Finders.
Lavi and Kanda are the ones that draw the short straws, and neither of them are happy as they re-enter the Ark. Even though they'd left a trail of destruction behind as they battled the Noah, they're not surprised to see the pristine white village that lays inside.
As the scientists scatter (foolishly, in Kanda's blunt opinion) among the surreal world, he remains standing close to Lavi. Lavi, uncharacteristically, isn't prattling on, instead maintaining his silence. Kanda's not sure what Lavi's battles were like, but he isn't inclined to ask.
They move slowly behind the scientists, each turned slightly away from the other as they scan their surroundings warily. At the first sign of attack, they'll be ready to fight, standing back-to-back.
Lavi may wish for Kanda's friendship, but instead Kanda offers him a greater gift: his trust. Kanda will never like the idiotic Bookman's apprentice, but he entrusts his life to Lavi without regret.

Characters: Watanuki, Doumeki, optional Yuuko
Prompt: Anything involving the plot twists in the latest chapters.
It's not until Doumeki graduates high school that he reconciles himself to what has happened. Watanuki was not beside him or Himawari, and Doumeki cannot afford to wait any longer. Doumeki will have to go to college without him, and continue to move forward with his life.
Watanuki cannot.
Watanuki is the butterfly, caught in the timeless amber that once encased Yuuko. He is a prisoner of the shop, but Doumeki is determined that won't always be the case. Someday, Doumeki vows to himself, Watanuki will step outside the shop and remember what freedom is.
Doumeki saved Watanuki numerous times in the past; now he is working toward that end again. He may have enjoyed science, but if he studies folklore instead, maybe that will help pay the inevitably high price of having Watanuki back by his side.
This, too, could be hitsuzen.

Characters: Seigaku (any or all, up to you)
Prompt: Cooking/food related? Or, if you like, homework crack?
Real friends, Fuji knew, would hand you their homework without asking for reparation.
It'd been a hell of a bad week, especially the last twenty-four hours. Taking Yuuta to the hospital after he'd made the mistake of eating Fuji's dinner (really, his little brother should know better than to brave Yumiko's cooking) had killed his study time, and morning practice had seemed more difficult than it should have been.
Fuji rarely felt off-balance, but as he changed back into his uniform, he realized he wasn't prepared for class. He considered going home and back to bed for the day, but Eiji had wormed the truth out of him. Then Eiji smiled and handed over his notebook without a second thought.
Fuji accepted it graciously, but it only took a quick glance to tell him he was still screwed. Real friends would give you their homework, but that didn't help much when most of their answers were wrong.
