happy birthday [for Belle]
Jacob hadn't really made plans for his birthday, not formally, but he was pretty sure that Belle knew when it was. It was one of those things you just took for granted in a relationship, the whole birthdays and anniversaries thing, and it was pretty amazing that he'd been with her for almost a year. A year was practically a lifetime in teenage time and Jacob had to wonder when he'd gotten like Cullen and ended up settling on just one girl. He wasn't like that completely, though, considering Belle was free to do anything she wanted on the island and Jacob was definitely not possessive, but the relationship was no less serious.
All those things in his head, he wandered, and wasn't surprised when his feet led him to Belle's room at the Homestead. They hadn't started sleeping together (yet) and they definitely didn't share a room, but every once in a while, well. Kissing turned into cuddling and naps and on an island with no stores and handmade presents, kisses made pretty good ones.
"Belle? Can I come in?"
