New moon.
I started soaking moonflower seeds tonight to plant tomorrow night under the new crescent flower moon. This year I'm planting my moon garden right next to my patio. I'm hoping the fragrance will travel inside the patio doors from time to time at night while we are lounging in the TV room.
What I have to look forward to,
Moonflower Opening:
A new addition I want for fall bulb planting, Snake’s Head Iris (
catalog photos):
I think I'll plant them next to my Queen Of The Night black tulips:
Wicked.....think that's what I'll name that garden bed once the Snake’s Head Iris are in. It's also the name of one of my favorite books. I’ll have to be on the look out for more dramatic dark plants for my Wicked little garden bed, which is right across from my headless fairy lily garden. (You can find those photos by looking at my garden tag.)
My lilac bush is in bloom. Gods I love my lilac bush, it's one of my most treasured garden possessions. The fragrance is heavenly, and also in the area where I'll be planting the also fragrant lavender and alyssum this weekend. My line dried clothes will smell so good.
