Ed and I spent the long weekend in Burnside Kentucky; his parents have a nice place down there. It was the first time we went there alone, his parent are great, but it was nice to be there on your own. We went to the drive-in just like last year and watched movies while fireworks went off in the distance around the screen. It’s so neat and we love the drive-in. We watched War of the Worlds and Longest Yard. LY is ok, War is fucking great!!
We also ate at some good restaurants, went horseback riding, walked the Cumberland Falls area and seen the waterfalls again. I collected some more coal, which is as naturally common there as river rocks- weird. I like coal.
Kentucky is a very pretty state, Ohio (which we had to drive through to get to Kentucky) is the stupidest, square, lack of character state I’ve had the displeasure of driving through. They even have a huge fucking Jesus statue rising out of the water. It scared the living daylights out of me when I first seen it. We got a photo on the way home. Strangely enough the water Jesus was the most interesting bit of I75 through Ohio.
I missed Hex so much this weekend! I had the worst craving for a good latte and the only coffee house I could find was horrible. She fucked the coffee up so bad; I had to pour it out. The south is in dire need of good coffee. I may start a campaign.
