Project for late November

Mind & Spirit:
  • I've been very anxious lately with all the holidays, not worried and resentful, I love the holidays, I just don't want to forget something. I'm doing breathing exercises to offset the anxiety.
  • Reading my Simple Abundance book by Sarah Ban Breathnach

    Crafts/Art:
  • I'm not doing homemade Christmas gifts this year, but I may still do Jessica and Greg’s.
  • I made a digital invite for the family for Thanksgiving.

    Social Conscience:
  • I'll be doing a follow up e-mail for my Toys Made in U.S.A. e-mail. I'm giving copies to my mom to take to AA and asking my Dad and Sylvia to post it at work. I will also post it at work. Ed is taking a copy to his union meeting. It's crazy that his union buys foreign toys for the kids at the summer party, Ed’s union dues should go to American made toys. My Dad's UAW gives American made toys away at their Christmas Party.

    Kitchen Witchery:
  • Working on the Thanksgiving menu!
  • I fianlly have a successful casserole exchange for Pagan Center! It's this Friday, I making homemade Mac & Cheese - a recipe Rodeny gave me.

    12oz Cavatappi noodles, cooked
    1/2 stick butter
    1/4 cup flour
    3 cups milk
dash of each cayenne, salt, pepper and dry mustard
8oz of shredded sharp cheddar cheese.

mix and cook the butter & flour in a saucepan, stirring continually
    slowly add milk
    add spices
    stir and cook until thickened
remove from heat and add mix in cheese
mix with noodles and place in casserole dish
top with bread crumb and parmesan cheese.
bake for 30 minutes on 350 degrees.

    Home:
  • Getting the house ready for Thanksgiving guests. I don't know what were going to do with the lack of space. Picture of Mom and Tom from last year.

    Ed:
  • I really gotta lay off the guy. I have a tendency to micromanage everything he does, so I'm going to chill out and let him do things his way.
  • Picking back up in the intimacy department, which has lax’ed since Angelus was born.

    Angelus:
  • Story time at Borders last week was fun. I'm trying to get Angelus around other kids more often.
  • We are still working on sign language, but he hasn't picked it up yet. He does know how to clap and is starting to wave bye bye.

    Health:
  • Exercise this week: Raking leaves, shopping, weight training and cleaning.
  • Get at least two of the following at each meal: A whole grain, a vegetable, a fruit or a protein.
  • Take my vitamins everyday and have a least one supplement like walnuts or flax seed

    Misc:
  • I need to find a family doctor for Ed and I.

    Reading:
  • The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes by Cruise, Dreyer & Stuart
