The Howard family cemetery is walking distance from our place. Lots of Ed's ancestors are buried there; here is Angelus at his Great Grandfather's grave: Thee Howard. We plan to go back down this fall so I can get grave rubbings.
Ed and the neighbors dog Sadie, good 'ol country doggie. The porch is one of my favorite spots, I also love the jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom, the dark starry nights, the Daniel Boone national forest that starts at the back of the property, the open floor plan of the house and big country kitchen, the build in cutting board with herb diagrams, the old family photos that are scattered throughout the house, the sounds of frogs, locust, birds and insects that flow into the windows, driving the dark and scary country roads at night which seem right out of a horror movie, listening to audio books on the long drive there and back (this trip we listened to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban). I'm so grateful we have a place like this in the family.
