Last time I posted, we were getting a lot of snow--and this week it's been MID 70's! I'm stuck inside for 99% of said gorgeous weather, but I can appreciate it while looking out of the window--and I *do* get a couple of minutes while walking to the car/into the blue box outside. Days like this I wish I was more irresponsible and could call out of work.

Tomorrow is Sunday, I have off, and it's supposed to be gorgeous out again! The stars aligning for that is odd, but I'll take it. I want to be on a patch of grass somewhere, soaking in the sunshine.

So, what does one do when it's Saturday night, already out of work, and has no plans?! SPEND MONEY!!!!

Being online is dangerous--I keep wanting to buy all these things!!!
What I find hard to believe is that I CANNOT find a cute pair of 8.5 wide width peep-toe/wedge/sandal/espedrille ANYTHING in RED to go with this polka-dot retro-type cotton dress that is SO CUTE!! My black shoes are all so BLAH! I want a pair of CUTE RED SHOES that I won't fall out of.

OH well, instead I guess I'll buy a bunch of t-shirts and stuff... In pink...and yellow...and blue...and black...and maybe just a couple of those...it sure does add up fast. *g*

On a less superficial note, I'm remodeling my kitchen. Not right NOW, now, but--IKEA's running a deal where if you spend XX amount and buy 3 appliances (which I desperately need!) I save 20% off my order. Add in that I get a 15% discount, and that's all good! Even better? I can put it through on a purchase order and pay a little each paycheck until it's paid off! No interest! no credit cards! As long as I keep on working there, there's no time frame to pay it off.

BTW my kitchen is tiny! It's 8ft long and just 6ft wide. Currently the stove is 24" and is not working. I'm planning on getting a 30" working one at the end of this!

The hardest part, so far, has been trying to figure out what color tile floor I should get....Oh yes, this is a complete remodel. I HAVE TO replace the stove...if I do that, I would want the floor tiled, because as it is now, the tile stops in front of the cabinets and appliances. I see sub-flooring as floor between my stove and fridge and, um, no. Full floor please. If I'm going to put down a new floor and get a new stove, I might as well replace the (also) broken dishwasher. And then it turned into--if I'm going to replace those two, I might as well get a refridgerator I don't have to squat down to get into. I am 5 feet and 4.5 inches tall. I am at LEAST a foot taller than my fridge. And then, at that point of redoing the floor and replacing the appliances, I'm at the point of: oh, fuck it. Might as well do the cabinets too...

So, I'm settled on Stat White cabinet doors and drawers and pretty sure about Pragel stone effect black for countertop. I'll place the order through the distribution center so I have about 3 weeks after that for it to come in and I'll have time to get rid of the old appliances, put down tile, and possibly cut a window out of a wall. When I say "I'm going to" what I REALLY mean is:" I'll assemble the cabinets, paint, and say "no, that goes --> there", but in reality, my mom's husband will do all that wiring/cutting holes in walls/stuff that I would probably kill myself or collapse the building doing)

Before, during, and after pictures to be posted, for sure!!

And, oddly, The Cutting Edge III (I think) ABCFamily movie that I thought would be craptastic and all kinds of horrible actually entertained me for 2 hours. I was suprised by Brendan Fehr...but it kind of worked. I am slightly amused and ashamed at this! A ha ha ha

how's that for all kinds of random?!

Countdown: T minus 16 hours 'til pineapple upsidedown cake!!! (It's one of 5 things my mom can cook that won't kill us---a ha ha ha)
