Unfortunately, the speakers that I ordered off of e-bay were not quite loud enough to effectively mix my music. They do get really, really, really close, however, and I'm tempted to simply squish my headphones against my ears to give them that extra kick that I need. Unfortunately, the last thing that I need is to make my recording process more annoying. It's just such a pain to set a bunch of stuff up that keeps falling over and not standing up straight and breaking. So I'm going to go out and buy another pair of speakers, and even if those aren't loud enough, I can plug the two into each other and finally get the juice that my half-deaf ears need.
I have been writing some songs lately--that is, when I'm not needlessly fretting at the failure of my highly marketable degree and even more highly marketable grades to translate into high-paying summer employment. Here are some works in progress that all have tentative titles--some of these are just little pieces:
"Dairy Queen"
"Gotta Find a Cure!"
"Lover, Lover"
"Marionette"
"Maryanne"
"Rockin' It"
