Finally, a moment without school work!
*stretch* It feels so good to have a day to myself to breathe and do something that doesn't involve reading a textbook or writing a research paper. Woo hoo!
So what's been going on? Let's see...
I'm working on my 101 in 1001 list for jan1_2008. I'm in the 70's now, but I haven't updated my list with stuff that I've thought of this morning. I honestly didn't realize how long 1001 days is - that's September 28, 2010(!!!!!!) if I start on January 1. I'll have just turned 28(!!!!!!!!) years old. Holy shit! It's so hard to plan my life that far in advance, but it's fun setting attainable goals for myself. I hope that I'll get support from my friends and Ferris with completing a lot of my goals. I encourage all of you to check out the community (which I found thanks to Gretchen (gretchypoo)) and think about making a list of your own. I should be posting mine here soon, hopefully by Tuesday at the latest. I'll also be posting my accomplishments here as well once I get going. It'll be awesome!
I can't believe that this semester is over already! I've put so much work and effort and so many tears into this semester and I really hope it pays off. My professors also see the effort that I've been putting into my work and I hope they'll remember that when they're grading my final work. I have two papers to finish and an exam on Monday and then I'm done done done until January 23. With the GRE to study for (my exam is January 19) it won't be much of a break, but it's better than being in school 4 days a week.
I haven't done my holiday shopping yet. My siblings and I haven't gotten our mom her gift yet. She said she'll be happy if we just clean our rooms, but we know she's just being facetious and would be pissed if we didn't get her anything. Maybe we'll get her a new handbag, who knows. I have no idea what I'm getting for Ferris either. We're going to exchange gifts on New Years Day, which I hope will be the start of a tradition for us. I'll probably end up getting him something boring and impersonal like clothes because I can't think of anything better. I still have a few weeks to think of something awesome for him; he hasn't started shopping for me yet so I don't feel too bad about not having his gifts yet.
Speaking of gifts, my stinky booty needs to get in the shower so I can get to the mall and get some shit for me. Hopefully I'll see something for Ferris and my mom as well. Wish me luck!
