Sunday
I have the most insane case of wedding fever. Right now I'm looking at hotels in Las Vegas that offer wedding packages, seeing which ones fit mine and Ferris's tastes. So far, none of them do. They're too formal and elegant for what (I think) I we want. Paris has a
poolside cabana package though, which is close to Ferris's idea of getting married on the beach. Caesars also has some
nice packages. I still have plenty of time to think about all of this though.
I wish my Windows Media Player knew that shuffle doesn't mean play the same 10 songs out of the 110 I have on my playlist...
Today was Kristen's bridal shower, and it was honestly one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. It remined me of walking into the first day of high school - not knowing a soul there and meandering about aimlessly looking for a familiar face. I didn't have anything to do - everyone else got there at 11.00, and I arrived at about 1.00 because I knew that all of Kris's aunts, her mom, her grandmom, and the other 4 BMs would set everything up - and they did. I ended up sitting at a table for all of 5 mintues before I realized that I couldn't handle it. I had to go outside and call Ferris so that he could calm me down. I also had to take a walk around the block to calm down a lil more, but I was still hella uncomfortable throughout the whole shower. Kristen had an amazing time, and that's all that matters.
Monday
I went to the dentist this morning, and I have an abcessed tooth. I know, that's f-word gross. I totally blame my parents for not stressing the importance of going to the dentist on a regular basis, and for canceling my insurance without telling me, leaving me afraid of going and being stuck with huge medical bills. I got a script for penicilin and an appointment to go back in October when I have insurance through work. Hopefully I won't have any flare ups before then.
Tuesday
Only 2 more full days until I hopefully see Ferris! His plan is to drive down to pick me up from work on Friday (about a 6 or 7 hour drive from where he is now) and then drive down to Ocean City, NJ for the night. I don't think he's realized that it's Labor Day weekend, and hotel rooms might not be as abundant as they usually are. I'll clue him in later today, me thinks. If I don't see him on Friday, I'll definitely see him on Saturday. We don't have any grand plans if we don't go to Ocean City so we'll probably end up vegging around his house for the weekend, which is fine with me.
Off to Walgreens and then to work. :)
