i don't think thats true- a friend of mine when to school completely on finanical aid and he has drug convictions. maybe it depends on the state?

it's an amendment to the higher education act that went into effect in 2001. there is a proposal called H.R. 786 to get it changed but i think so far no dice.
maybe your friend was one of the lucky ones who got in and out in time? or maybe his aid was local and not federal?
who knows.
regardless it makes me think this war on drugs is getting more and more ridiculous.

and as Canadians alot of this stuff is so foreign to us
don't get me wrong i know that canadian politics etc can be just as messed up
i am sure if we want to do something there is probably lots of good ideas at www.michaelmoore.com
which i have just thought to look up and i am gonna spend the next little while going thru the site
