my kids love good ghost stories. we talka bout death more than i think is healthy sometimes- we have had two rabbits and a bird die. we talka bout birdy heaven, and whether or not dip watches over us.

the oddest thing about all of it is that we found out that the people who built this house, the house that we bought, were my grandmother's second cousins, or great aunt. something like that. it makes the kids feel really safe.

i am sorry about your friend.

death, man, it's everywhere. it's at these times when we actually know some of the people who died recently that we realize everyone dies, people are dying all over the place, all the local newspapers have obituaries. there are wars and bombs and car wrecks and cancer and shit goes wrong everywhere!

it is all mystical, though. what would the alternative BE? to live forever? no thanks!
