last night i witnessed the most disgusting and beautiful thing ever.  it was seeing what rich people can do with their money.

the founder of my moms company started this thing called the Robinhood Foundation (take from rich give to poor, get it)  and it benefits schools and making new schools in the city with amazing teachers.

last year they raised 48million.  this year... 72.  i have never seen money be given away that quickly.

Jon Stewert was the MC.  i alwyas thought he was hilarious, but seeing him in person was unbelievable.  Aerosmith was the guest performer, and they too were amazing, and old.  i loved every minute of it.

a lot of famous people, but the rich ones were without a doubt more important.

first they raffled packages.  the highest thing from the packages went to 2.1million.

by the end of the night the found, Paul Jones said, please we need all of the money, told a story, somethin to that effect.  by the way, this man is terribly charismatic.  he first said please if anyone would donate 1mill raise your hand.  in about 1minute, i swear, they raised 23million.

that is an example of how rich these people are.  23 people raised their glowsticks (they gave glowsticks as the bidding thing) to give up 1million.

100% of what was raised goes straight to this program.  last year alone 2 schools were able to be built.  the stories they told were moving and seeing these students so engaged in the classrooms in the video they showed was amazing.

i have never seen such philanthropy in my life.
i am still shocked.
