May 16-July 26. that's how long i will be in GREECE. so excited.
it was hard telling Doug, but i knew he would understand. he is the most logical and fair person i have ever dated or met, and i am so lucky it's unbelivable. i cried when i told him. when we went to bed last night i looked over at him and realized for two months straight i wouldn't be able to do that. in the scheme of things, 2 months isn't much so i think he and i can both handle it.
i will be in Crete in a place called Malia. My cousin her friend and i will be going. It's all very touristy and it's mostly people from the UK. My cousin is 1/2 greek so we will be working for someone close to her family there. As far as we both know we are going to have a choice of jobs: waitress, possibly at a hotel, or bartending stuff. we went with the latter as of right now. our room and board is paid for, we will be living in an apartment. So we have a place to live, we are getting paid, and we are in greece for 2months.
this is the experience i never thought i would get, and no matter how hard it is for me to leave here, i wont give this up.
for now i am stressing. i have a 4min persuasive speech due monday that i haven't started. a ten page paper due tomorrow. a test tomorrow. a take home test due monday, finals, doctor appts, my car is breaking, i need to go to hunter to take my placement tests, etc etc etc. but greece soon.
oh, and i bought five bathing suits at marshalls yesterday... 2 of them were $12.
