I just had an e-mail from the Library of Congress mailing list thingie. The gist of it is that volcano preparedness has been added to their preservation information.

Volcanoes.

They say there is even a volcano in Missouri! I don't see it anywhere. The closest I can find is in Colorado.

Maybe that seems crass, but that's my first reaction to the story about an interracial couple denied a marriage license. Thousands of men and women can't get marriage licenses, and 53% of the country is okay with that, including Obama. That last part makes this particularly ironic ( Read more... )
