I love E.L.Fudges. Aside from my homemade chocolate chip cookies, they are my favorite delicacy of the sweet variety. Two Mays ago while in Florida I made my mother buy a pack of them; now she and my aunt cannot buy enough of them. They go pretty well with gin and 7up, which I am drinking tonight. I've had gin before, but never independent of other alcohols. It is pretty tolerable, for being damn near 100proof.
Linda and I went to the Garden of Olives today. Ooooh, it was sooooo goooood. I realize that OG really is total schwag, but there is just something completely satisfying about it. Grease, garlic, breadstix, booze....mmmmm. They even finally added a dessert I can tolerate: chocolate gelato with caramel and dark chocolate chunks. I haven't had it yet, but let me tell you that tiramisu sure as hell isn't my thing.
Tomorrow I get to do $100 worth of weeding in my mother's gardens. While I'll probably only do $30 worth, it's worth a hundred to her, I guess. I'm finally coming home for real tomorrow in the afternoon/evening. I miss people. I guess I don't know enough people down here. The other night I was semi-drunk and decided I wanted a fucking Snickers. I drove to the local Speedway a little before midnight (they close then) and got my Snickers. While there I met these two girls, and after talking to them for a short while, invited them back to my house to hang out, probably on the lake or whatever. They agreed, with the promise that I could bring them back to their place (about three minutes from my house) before daybreak. Then somehow a question of age came up, and I'm glad it did. While they looked to be about twenty years of age, they were actually fifteen and sixteen. Ugggggggh. Drinking will do a number on your judgement and perception. I told them to call me in a couple of years =P I really would have enjoyed the company, though, but as you can imagine I really didn't want to get mixed into the middle of that.
I watched Crash today; it was good, but I wasn't too impressed. I can appreciate irony of course, and it was rather racially funny, but I don't see what made it so superb. We also rented The Matador, which I'm about to go watch. Maybe I'm just a Thomas Crown junkie, but I heart Pierce Brosnan to the max. Boo ya.
I'm glad I grabbed this userpic when I could. It means something special today, for sure.
