Please Excuse My Absence
... But RL has been a bit of a bitch lately. I took a new job at the end of January which has been a financial boon for our family, but has me working 50-60 hours per week. If that wasn't enough to suck the creative life out of me, my dad had a major stroke first of April. He passed away two weeks ago after a pretty brutal fourteen week struggle.

i've been revisiting your stories because i vowed to myself that i'd rec your work when my turn came up again over at crack_broom. i'm this month's harry/ginny rec'cer :) and i found out you'd added me to your friends list --- thank you :)
saw DH2 twice and agree that it could very well be the best of the bunch. i enjoyed the bits you mentioned too (plus kelly macdonald and ciaran hinds were absolutely glorious). i'm glad they gave ginny something to do, and felt quite gratified when they focused on her violent reaction when they saw hagrid carrying harry's body. that scream is haunting.
you're right -- canon ron/hermione would never let harry go off alone, had they known. especially ron. i believe that he would be the one who would declare "i'll go with you!". i've always felt Ron was shortchanged in the films (as well as ginny), and that the harry/ron friendship has been neglected dearly. oh well. as shakespeare said, things without all remedy should be without regard; what's done is done :)
also just wanted to let you know that we're sending you and your family good wishes -- for courage and strength, love and hope. glad you're back :)
