Procrastinating....again...

I should be writing out Christmas cards for people at work and wrapping presents for the work Christmas party, but instead I'm writing in here!

We're having our work Christmas party tonight. We're exchanging gifts over hepatitis infected Chi Chi's, but we have coupons for buy one entree get on free so it's all good.

I drew Shea Carroll. I had to swallow my pride and actually buy a UK sock hat for him...*shudders*. I can't be like that now though cuz a lot of my good friends go there now. But, the very cool thing was at Champs in the mall, they had buy one get one free on the sock hats, so I got Shea his UK one, and got myself a Bearcats one for freeeeeee. Free is my favorite four letter word that starts with F.

I'm eating Christmas cookies. They = yum.

Oh yeah! I just figured out how much my books are gonna cost for next semester. I'm only taking 6 classes, only 1 more than I did this semester. (This semester's books cost about 200 dollars). Next semester, depending on what my history book is going to be, I'm assuming between 60-80 dollars used, my books should cost at least 300 dollars, and anywhere from there to 325. Plus I owe 39 dollars after my KEES money and student loan for the change of room. That sucks, because I owe my parents about 300 dollars for when I took a month off working, (hehe) and I'm working like 6 days a week now as it is. So, that's really gonna blow.

The other thing that sucks is that all of my classes are in the same day, (MWF), except for my Intro to Lit class which is only on Fridays. So, I'm going to be carring 7 books in my bag on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 8 books on Fridays. I just hope to god they aren't all like 50 pounds. Some of them might be books that we don't use all the time, too, but the first day of class I'll definitely have to take them all.

Even with that, I'm excited about next semester. My classes are all going to be so easy. My "Lit and the Human Experience" teacher is supposed to be one of the most awesome honors professors we have, I heard, so that's good. My history teacher is awesome, and so is my spanish teacher, I've heard from people who had them. Plus, I'm looking forward to getting A's in every class. I won't settle for anything less. I already got 4 of my 5 grades, but I already knew what they were going to be before I checked them online.

I got an A in Intro to Honors, English 151, and Choir. I got a B in speech..*grumble*. I took my psych final and it was by far the easiest one considering I only studied for like three hours the day of the final, so I'm pretty sure I'll get a B in that class, cuz if I got anything above an 80 on the final I'll get a B in the class. So, with that, my GPA is a whopping 3.5, which I hope to bring up to a 3.8 by the end of the year, which is what it will be if I get all A's next semester.

Oh yeah, and I changed my schedule around again, lol. They're pretty much the same classes, just different times. I wanted to start at 8 every morning because I was planning on driving from home and wanting to get there early for a parking spot, but since I have to move back onto campus, I wanna sleep in another hour, so this is my set schedule for next semester:

MWF:

9:00-9:50 Elementary Spanish II
10:00-10:50 Northern Chorale
11:00-11:50 History of Europe through 1713
LUNCH
1:00-1:50 Literature and the Human Experience
2:00-2:50 History of Rock and Roll

and, on Fridays only:
3:00-6:00 Introduction to Literature

Those classes = good. I think I'll like all of them. Spanish has always come easily for me, choir is a cinch, and I'm excited about history because we study the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and other stuff like that in Europe that I am SO interested in.
I'm worried the most about having two lit classes. That equals a lot of reading. I think the most difficult class of next semester will be Lit and the Human Experience cuz it's an honors course, and from my experiences last semester, the honors courses have like twice as much writing involved than any other classes. History of Rock and Roll is just gonna be so fun, and it counts toward my Music minor, so that's always good too.

So, my dad's gonna be home soon with some lunch. I have to wrap these presents and get ready for work, I go in at two. I wanted to go to the mall again and get Shea a UK keychain, but I'm feeling too lazy so he'll just get a nicely wrapped sock hat in a box. I finally have a day off tomorrow! wooo hoooooo so Cat? Sara? Rafi? What're we doin'? :-P
