YAY!!!!

This week started out to be another boring week, but with one phone call Tuesday night, it made it SOOOOO much better!

Okay, so I get a phone call while I'm on break at work last night, and it's DOOBIE, and he's in Florence! What an awesome surprise. I must admit, I suspected he was up to something because Lauren said something in his journal to the effect of him being here sometime soon, but I had no idea he was here last night! I was so excited as soon as I heard him say "Could you go out tonight after work?" Of course, I said yeah, and we immediately made plans before I had to go back to the front.

So, after my lovely rest of the night at work, at around 11 o'clock, Doobie and Rachel Jacobs are parked by my car when I walk out, and of course Doobs gets out and gives me a huge hug and Rachel lets me sit in the front, that was very nice of her. We wanted to get food at first cuz I was starving, cuz the only thing I had all day was a candy bar before my shift at work started, so we proceeded to look for an open McDonald's, but alas, there were none.

So, we got drinks at the Shell Station on turfway and Doobie filled his car up with gas, excited about the low gas prices, lol. We then started our way up toward Cincinnati, and we finally stopped at a Wendy's to get some food to eat on the rest of the way there. I ordered a like Value meal thingy with a drink, and of course we drive away before we got the drink, so we pull back around, and they give us a drink. Doobie asks for a tomato for his chicken sandwich, but the manager who gave us my drink said that they're out of tomatoes, but then offers us like all of the chicken nuggest they had left! So, in addition to my drink, we get a baked potato container full of chicken nuggets. Sweet.

So, we drive up to Oxford to go to this haunted road thingy. OH MY GOD I was so freaked out, I was like shaking! Doobie said he'd done it like 6 times before, and Rachel'd done it before too, but omg Doobie was freakin out more than I was. I don't think I'm allowed to tell you the story, I can't remember, but yeah... at about 12:30-1:00 last night we were up in Oxford, basically down a road that led to the middle of nowhere....parked on the road, with the lights off, radio off, looking for a ghost. Lemme tell you, even without the story being told, I would have been freaking out cuz it is so desolate out there....no signs of life, woods all around....plus the trees had no leaves on them, which Rachel pointed out as being really creepy.

So, that was a total rush! Especially for me, cuz I don't even go in haunted houses, like....manufactured haunted houses, cuz I'm so scared of stuff like that! But, my favorite part was just the drive up there and back, cuz I got to catch up with my Doobs. I wish we would have hung out when we were in high school, but we really didn't become friends until after high school, after we'd been in a class together. I think we could have had lots of fun in high school too. Now, he lives so far away, we don't get to hang out as often as I'd like.

So, after that whole expedition, Doobie took me back to my car in the shoe carnival parking lot, and we said goodbye, but we had also made plans for breakfast the next morning.

So, I woke up this morning at about 9:30 and got ready for school early so I could hang with Doobie again. But, we weren't able to cuz he and Lauren wanted to go to Cracker Barrel in Dry Ridge, (I dunno why Dry Ridge), and I had to leave for school at noon to park and get to my class for my 1 oclock final. As much as I wanted to hang out with them more, I couldn't. But, Doobs did drop by my house so we could say goodbye formally, and Lauren took a picture of he an I, and I took a picture of Doobs with Lauren, and we hugged and he left. I realize now how much I'm gonna miss him! He's soooo awesome to hang out with.

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention the funniest part of the night. While we were driving around the sharp curve in the road, Doobie was expressing, in his own unique way, how he felt, lol. It was hilarious. He said, "My heart is going like 'thump THUMP....thump THUMP really hard, but my stomach is saying 'mmm, wendy's' " I was laughing so hard I wasn't making any noise, lol. But, yeah, that's what went down last night....it was very cool.

I took my speech final today, aced it. But, I'm gonna get a B in the class, cuz the professor graded everything WAY too strictly for an INTRO to speech class. The actual like taking of the tests, testing our knowledge of the concepts, is fine. But I got a B on four of the six speeches in there, and I'm not the only one who thought that he graded too hard. So, yeah. I'll get two B's and three A's this semester. Next semester I won't settle for anything less than an A in all of my classes. This is gonna be a really long update so I won't bitch about my teachers here. :-D But, I did hear that three of my teachers next semester are awesome from people I know who've had them, so it should be great. And I have choir again...which equals easy A.

I'll update more in between my hard working days at Shoe Carnival. Ta!
