1. Who is your character's confidante?
Sayuri does NOT have confidantes. In the all-women society she came from, it's a constant battle for social standing; secrets are dangerous, the more so if others know them. She kept a journal once, but after Hatsumomo found it, she quit the habit entirely. She used to occasionally tell things to Mameha, her 'big sister', when she lived at home. Now, in-game, she knows very few people, and very few people speak her language at all. She keeps to herself.
2. Is your character married? Does he have a lover, significant other, girlfriend, boyfriend?
HA. No. She still harbours a secret pop-star sort of crush on the Chairman, but she's coming to terms with the fact she'll probably never see him again. That's it for romance, at least so far. Geisha don't do romance.
3. Whom does your character live with?
In her apartment building, all the other strangers stranded at the end of the world; in her apartment, nobody.
4. If you were to use the speed dial function on your character's telephone, who would answer?
In 1939 Japan, you mean, or at the end of the world? But taking the spirit of the question and not the letter - probably Mameha, or now, Biff.
5. How does your character feel about his co-workers? What are they like?
If for co-workers we read co-stranded-people, hmm. She doesn't know them well. She's intrigued and slightly bothered by Miho (
oldtownblades), who - well, a Sin City whore and a Gion geisha, you can imagine. She's finding herself rather fond of Hellboy (
crownedwithfire), even though she's still terrified by his appearance. She admires Zuko and Mel (
princeinexile and
grabber_fray respectively), even more so after recent unpleasant events, for taking up the strain of leadership so well. She pretty much likes anyone she can have a conversation with. There aren't many of those, considering how few speak Japanese.
6. To whom did your character give birthday presents last year, and what did he give them?
Birthday presents, not so much, considering place and time. Besides, geisha are given gifts, and only give them when there's ritual significance.
7. What did your character receive for his last birthday?
Same same. Nothing particularly for her birthday. There's a fairly steady stream of jewellery and combs and perfumes and tea coming in - or was, before Aphar, anyway.
