Hey, I'm new. I'm RPing Rachel from the Animorphs at the_blank_slate and figured this would help me figure out her character a little better. Check out my profile for more info.

1. A stranger knocks on your character's door in the middle of the night and asks for help. Does your character open the door and let the stranger in?
Depends on whether she was awake already, or not. If they woke her up, she'd probably slam the door in their face. If she was already awake, she might help, depending on the person.

• What if the stranger is a tattooed, wiry man with blood on his face?
Probably not, considering she's fifteen and could be easily taken advantage of by an older man.

• What if the stranger is a weary-looking old lady?
Probably, though she'd be awkward about it. She's not terribly good with old people.

• What if the stranger is a twelve-year-old child who keeps looking around as though someone is following him?
Probably, she could relate to that hide-and-seek feeling. Would probably also try to find out what he was on the run from, and help him with that.

2. Does your character have any allergies or sensitivities? How do they affect his life?
She's allergic to crocodile morph, but she's already 'burped' the DNA, so it's not a worry anymore. It wreaked bloody havoc before she burped it, though. Other than that, no allergies to speak of.

3. Is your character progressive, using new technologies as they become available? Is he slow to adapt to technological change? Or is he middle-of-the-road, waiting to see if things work but using them as soon as he's satisfied that they do? Middle-of-the-Road. Technology is too expensive to always have the newest thing, and it's hardly practical to grab the newest thing out if it doesn't work.

4. Your character receives a mysterious package. There's no return address (or not one that she recognizes) and she wasn't expecting anything. What does she do?
Opens it, of course. Can't figure out anything til you do that.

o The package is unusually heavy and the label is hand-lettered in a handwriting she doesn't recognize.
Probably hesitate and then open it. She doesn't have enemies that would be as unsubtle as a pipebomb.

o The package is a thin manila envelope with a printed label.
Open it, right away.

o There seems to be a faint vibration coming from the package and it was left on her doorstep.
Open it to find out why the hell it's vibrating.

>o The package is large and was delivered through a reputable shipping service.
Open it.

5. Does your character enjoy camping outdoors?
As long as there's shelter, food, and water, and good company.

6. Does your character know how to hunt or fish? Is he good at it? Does he do it for recreation or for food?
She can hunt if she has too, if she morphs first. It's likely in that kind of situation though, she'd be eating in morph. She can probably fish, and is not at all squeamish about cooking them, though oddly enough hates putting the worms on the hook.

7. What is the one major regret your character has about his life so far? Does he plan to do anything about it, and if so, what?
She regrets losing touch with her friend Melissa Chapman. It wasn't really her fault, because of the war, but she knows how lonely the girl must be just the same. Unfortunately, she wouldn't be able to do anythig about it until the war with the Yeerks ends. And she won't live to see that...

8. What one major thing does your character want to accomplish in his life to come?
Beat the Yeerks. Beat them so bad they never ever enslave anyone else.

9. How does your character want to live out his older years?
She hasn't thought that far. I think the idea of growing old scares her, on some level.

10. Overall, is your character satisfied with his childhood?
Not really. Her parents divorced, and though she doesn't blame herself, she wishes she could see her father more. Other than that, no major dissatisfaction. Not before the Yeerks, that is.

11. Your character has an award someone gave her sitting on a shelf. What is it for, and what are the circumstances under which she received it?
For good grades, in fact it's a very prestigeous honor society plaque.

o Is she proud of it or embarrassed by it?
Proud of it, but she was sad when she thought Tobias wouldn't be able to see her receiving ceremony, and tried to hide the award from him.

o Does he feel that he deserved it?
Oh hell yeah. It's not easy getting good grades in school as it is, let alone while fighting a war with aliens.

12. Has your character ever been arrested? For what? Did he deserve it? Does he feel that he deserved it?
Not arrested persay. Caught by the enemy, yes, but not the law.

13. Has your character ever struck someone in anger?
Hells yeah.

14. Has your character ever killed anyone?
Not a human, though she threatened to, once. (Later on in canon, it could be argued that she does kill that same guy, but I'm playing her way before then.)

15. Is your character adventurous when it comes to food? Does he like to try out new cuisines?
She'll eat anything when she's hungry, and almost anything when she isn't. She's not picky.

16. What is your character's idea of a perfect day?
A normal day, before the war? Going to the mall with Cassie, and finding a fantastic sale on clothes for both of them. Clothes that Cassie actually enjoys, despite thier girliness.
After the war? Kicking the Yeerks asses. Winning the war, basically.

17. What is your character's idea of a perfect meal?
Shrimp is her fave, but basically anything really good. She's not picky.

18. Is your character an optimist or a pessimist?
Externally, she's an optimist, or at least has a sense of humor about the possibility of failure. Inside, she's a pessimist.

19. What sort of sense of humor does your character have?
Sarcastic, and occaisionally a bit of dark humor. Only way to deal with a lot of the stuff she's seen and done.

20. Is your character ambitious?
Yes. She wanted to be in the Olympics as a gymnast, but she grew too tall. She makes up for that in her schoolwork now, and kicking Yeerk ass.

21. What makes your character proud?
Finding a really awesome sale, or doing well in school. Or when Tobias compliments her. Kicking Yeerks ass doesn't make her proud... it's just something she has to do.

22. What makes your character embarrassed?
Falling down, or looking stupid, basically. She hates losing her cool.

23. Does your character look both ways before crossing the street?
Usually, but not always.

24. What method of transportation does your character use? If she drives a car, for example, what kind of car does he drive?
Bald eagle morph.

25. Someone tries to rob your character on the street. What does she do? What is she carrying that the robbers might want? Is it a random incident or was she targeted?
Exploit every weakness to try and escape unhurt. Once, this happened and she starting morphing elephant to scare him away. Without morphing it would probably be a run, or fight if necessary.

26. Does your character keep in touch with childhood friends? Which ones and why?
Cassie, of course, and all of the Animorphs. Cassie is her best friend since she was little. Cassie kind of balances her. The other Animorphs.... well they're her fellow warriors.

27. Is there anything that can get a smile out of your character no matter how sad or upset he is?
Food. Or a well-timed hug or joke, from someone she cares about.

28. Is there anything that can upset or anger your character no matter how happy he is?
Injustice.

29. What makes your character feel righteously angry?
See above. Also, insulting or endangering her friends or family.

rachel (animorphs), tabula rasa
