Good Day
I'm having a suprisingly good day. It really weird how life seems to pile all the good things and pile them on at the same time. Unfortunately, life seems to do the same with the bad shit too, but that's not what this post is about. Anyway, I read a review and saw the shorts for The Prestige and decided that I wanted to see it, unfortunately its only showing in Claremont so I had resigned myself to waiting until it came out on DVD. But just after I got up today, my mom tells me that she's going to Claremont to pick up some music intruments. Me, being the oppoertunist I am, caught a lift with her and got her to pay for the movie. It was very good. I am happy I saw it and I hope it wins the Oscars it was nominated (Cinematography and Artistic Direction). Then again, I aven't seen the other movies nominated for those particular awards.
Anyway, I left the cinema to find an sms from Jason. Going to his house to play 40K tomorrow, so that was good.
Then I got home to find two letters wainting for me. Normally if I get one letter in a month its a lot, to get two on the same day is unheard of in my life. Even stranger was that both were about pretty much the same thing. One was from my grandmother, a card and some money for getting good results last year. The other one was from UCT, who are giving me a scholarship, yep you guessed it, for my good results last year.
Anyway, I hope the universe doesn't try to restore balance by making the rest of my day absolutely crap.
