Sleepy saturday
No lil bro (up in yorkshire) no bubblegum (somewhere beachy with old uni mates and ex boyfriend), no viola (in forn parts), no goddaughter (her and parents at HER uncle's party). So I spent the morning and part of the arvo readign Romanitas a what if novel where the Roman Empire did not dwindle post the Severans, but took over most of the world, with Japan and China taking over the rest. Twas interesting only now I want another. I'm not 100% sure it needed to have guns and phones and be futurisitic romans but it was good enough to finish and want another one. I now don't have anything to read tonight. Grr.
After that I got frustrated trying to set up the DKU-5 cable that will allow my laptop or the parent's desktop to copy my photos off the phone. Tried laptop and failed. Tried Desktop and followed instructions, still failed. Tried somethign found on a forum on Nokia website and it worked - yay!
Then I wasted ages faffing on le internet and putting up the rotaracty photos on the rotaract website. Which made us nice and up to date with more 50s night pics, the wedding pics and the few ball pics I took.
And now in even more up news i tried starting again on the laptop with the cable thing (I thought after managing the desktop that maybe I'd missed a stage) and I've got it working here too which is total yay! Wicked! Only thing I dont' seem to be able to do is put music on my phoen but to be honest i don't desperately want music on my phone. Radio is enough.
I also got to watch Dr whooooo yay. I'm hoping they aren't really killing rose off I kinda like her actually. I know she's billie piper but I think she's kinda good. Also played scrabble with olds and lost disastrously despite being the one who put all her letters on and caused the end to happen. Boo.
This is my thrilling life ;) tis kinda nice apart from the no GB part. How dare he go off up north when I have a whole weekend off with no effort! Also have no idea if I'll manage tommorow's rotaract bbq. Have been useless and not sorted a lift.
In other news dateboy is away for about a week. Is it bad that I think this a relief?
