I know there's some interest in these things and if they work, but there's very little real user feedback on whether they're worth having. Here's my experience, based on a quick bit of retro-fitting to the Volvo.

So, the Volvo is quiet once more. A couple of hours work, not too much grief. This car really is easy to work on -- I still haven't met anything on it that strikes me as stupid or awkward to deal with.
