I sometimes have vivid and strange dreams, and the one last night I remember most of. Usually, there are so many setting/scene/tone shifts that the narrative thread is incoherent, but this time round it was actually a decent premise for an anime. All this is unfiltered by sense or after-the-fact rationalisations.
