It is not Proper

Within the ranks of the noble tea-drinkers, all it not the sweetness and harmony it should be. For while there are many with the wisdom to recognise the Cup of Brown Joy, they do not appear to honour each other's preferences properly.

There are many kinds of tea- and this is a good thing for variety is the spice of life. Similarly, variety in how tea is taken is also a good thing. However, those that take their tea without the addition of sugar commonly do a gross disservice to those that do, when called upon to pour for them.

It is not sufficient to drop the sugar in the cup. It must be stirred, and stirred heartily. With inadequate agitation sugar remains undissolved at the bottom of the cup- a thing of horror for tea-drinkers of any stripe. There is an established technique for testing whether the beverage has received sufficient spoon reciprocation- draw the spoon across the bottom of the cup then lift it above the surface. If you can see any grains of sugar at all, your task is unfinished.

Many is the time when a drinker has sipped and been forced to ask the timeless question: "Did you put sugar in this?". When the scowling host vouchsafes that he has, the drinker is left with a horrible sinking feeling for they know they are consigned to a cup of tea without sugar, except upon reaching the undrinkable oozing mass at the bottom.

Brethren, as tea-drinkers we must stand together and respect what differences there are between us. We must purge our society of malcontents that would sunder our glorious union.

Non-sugary tea drinkers who don't stir sugary tea enough should be put to death without delay.

tea, put to death without delay
