The nightmares still plagued him-- kept him up nights. Shukaku was gone but he left behind memories that could never be forgotten. The weary Kazekage silently yearned for a good night's rest, and there was only one who could grant it him.
His savior's face was screwed up partly from concentration and partly from the ecstacy of being cradled between Gaara's thighs. Slowly, Naruto undulated his hips together with Gaara's and bits and pieces of incomprehesible sentences tumbled from his kiss-reddened lips.
Letting go of all the pride and pretense he usually wrapped around himself, Gaara pulled Naruto closer, holding him against his bare chest. He wanted--needed--as much of their skin touching as possible. The more Naruto touched him, the more human he felt--the freer. Free from all the shackles of his life; from his responsibility as Kazekage and the monsters of his past.
The fingers of Naruto's right hand intertwined with Gaara's and he whined with the need to cum. Gaara squeezed his hand and wrapped his legs tighter around the blond, encouraging him to go. Naruto yelped his name once again when he came; his body stiffed and he thrust one last time into Gaara, bringing him right along with him.
The two laid wordlessly together, their limbs still tangled, laboriosly relearning how to breathe in their afterglow. Once they'd calmed, Gaara settled in the security of Naruto's arms and slept.
