This weekend was one of the most jam packed ever, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Saturday morning I had fun helping out at a Food Bank in OKC, when it comes to assembling boxes, "If there's such a thing as 'too good' it's us." Devin and I are the pros. I then had a delightful lunch/shopping afternoon with my darlings, whom I love so much I wouldn't trade for anything...well okay, maybe a castle (but only if it came with a moat).
Saturday evening I met up with some amigas and headed down to OKC. We got to visit the Memorial and I'm really glad we did. We met up with all of the people who had walked from Norman and walked to the Capitol. The Global Night Commute organization is dedicated to ending the war in Northern Uganda where children are abducted and forced to fight with the rebel army as child soldiers. For fear of being hunted by the LRA (Lord’s Resistance Army), these children commute on foot every night to find safe places to sleep in their town centers. To date, more than 30,000 children have been abducted and forced into war. That’s why Invisible Children is calling on the world to take a stand.
http://www.invisiblechildren.com/home.php Sunday night was our last Sigma Phi Lambda meeting and last night was our last (and my first) Tau Beta Sigma meeting (I was initiated Sunday afternoon, very awesome) and senior goodbye. Both organizations are amazing times 5 million and I am so blessed to be a part of them. I'm in two sororities and neither is panhellenic...amazing and wonderful. I cannot wait for next semester!
however, i do look forward to seeing my super awesome friends from home. I foresee movie parties. Lots of Guacamole and snow cones.
and some dancing
Don't think I ever forget the dance you taught me durring Something's Afoot, Foy. The one i gracefully (ha) performed at drama banquet that year.
much love,
