I participated in the UBC Rovers (Boy Scouts) Amazing Race dry run yesterday. My partner Brittney Joel and I started downtown Vancouver looking for a building it took us 25 minutes to find it. We asked this guy at some coffee shop and he directed us in the wrong direction. It was ten minutes away from our starting point the Vancouver Art Gallery. Once that was done we head to Metrotown to look for a car in the red parking, its near Zellars and T&T Supermarket. At 10 in the morning who expect the parking lots to be busy, metrotwon opens sometime later. There was a picture of a guy we had to find with a park ranger shirt. It took us awhile to complete this task as well. The clue sent us to the new west quay and a walk along Columbia street. We had to find the two buildings still standing from the great fire, the three "i-robots" rules and wear a veil at a bridal bouquet. We wander up to Irving House to see what style it was built in. It was so hot walking up the hill to Irving House. Next we head to to SFU to look for the Blue Pyramid and items in the library. Finishing with this we head toward Lynn Canyon and the '30 foot pool'. Since I was meeting up with Stephaine around 5:30 that was the activity I could do. I left Lonsdale Quay at 5:00 and didn't make it to Lougheed till 5:50. As I was stepping off the train I looked over there was Steph getting on the train, so close, and the doors slide shut. I had to wait for the next one they need to put more trains on that route it was a longer route the 3-5 mins. Made it to Steph's around 6 where I procced to watch Sailor Moon season 1. We both we kind of dozing off during SM so we called it a night around 10pm. Before I left I went upstairs to talk to her mom who gave me a stack of books!Yay for books.
