I've been working most of the last two days on my Minority Lit. questions. I've finished my share, and I'm fairly comfortable with what I've come up with. Tony and Gina have sent me some of their work, so I thought I'd get started with the Powerpoint part of the assignment. That is I realized that I forgot that I don't have Powerpoint on my computer. Fantastic. Not the end of the world. I'll have to go to one of the computer labs on campus tomorrow or Monday. Moday at the latest, for sure.
I'm exhausted. And I hate the Internet as far as research goes.
I wish my teacher would let us write papers instead of doing Powerpoint presentations. I can whip out a paper in two hours tops. All this is a little over-the-top and unnecessary. For real.
The roommates and I are getting along better, and actually talking. (We've finally broken the ice! Woot!) Meaghan and I made a trip to Meijer, listened to some Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the ride over and back, and made some plans for Jack-o-Lanterns. I informed Ashley about the plan for the Jack-o-Lanterns: Make said Jack-o-Lanterns and put them out on the balcony. She got excited at the idea, which goes to show I'm not alone in my nerdiness. Score! Also, I bought three loaves of bread (on sale buy one get two free!) and told Meaghan and Ashley to eat some bread. To eat as much as they wanted of it. Thus the beginning of sharing the groceries has begun.
At least now I can focus a little on my other homework. Mainly reading West of the Jordan for next week, Twelfth Night (which can wait until Monday Night if necessary) and whatever I need to read for American Lit. My poem is done for this week for Poetry, so that's one less thing to worry about. I have papers coming up soon. I just know it. I need to see when though, so I can start thinking of paper ideas.
Also, I just realized that today is the two-year anniversary of my cat's death.
