Kohaku hadn't laid a finger on cleaning anything but the outdoors. It was crucial nothing be broken-- and, well, she had a job in the kitchen after all. Even with her facade, she couldn't help but be curious what it would be like being in the company of royalty-- the woman who brought her here and the woman who made plans. Imported tea and Italian sweets to go with them seemed like a good way to go about it.

"Does everything look alright, Akiha-sama?"

Turning from the window, Akiha nodded.

"As much as it can. This does make me wish we'd made more as far as decorations went when we made this room. It's lacking... coziness. Or something," she replied, moving over to sit down and smooth her skirt out. "But it will do. We still offer a setting far more appropriate for royalty than anyone else here."

"Did she tell you the time she'd arrive...?"

To be honest, waiting in anticipation for such an important guest would usually leave someone nervous. Kohaku, however, was intrigued. Deep down, a little angry to be meeting the person who interrupted years of planning, but those were the not-feelings that would not be on display.

"She should be here any moment. Afternoon tea does have a set time." Akiha tucked her hair behind her ear. "I suppose I can forgive her for being a little late if she is."

Which was a bit uncharacteristic for Akiha, but she was still a lot calmer and more open than usual. It's surprising no one has taken advantage of it, even Kris.
