Xion has been to many worlds, from a scorching desert to windswept isles and a dark, foreboding castle. But she's never seen snow before. Her new boots are better suited to this weather, at least, and her feet stay warm while she keeps the hood of her cloak pulled tight, shivering. For once she's grateful for the extra layer of white shift beneath it. She's never worn any other clothes; never needed them, so she hasn't taken anything form the houses. But even the cold can't deter her childish wonder, and she wanders among the glittering trees, eyes wide.

She crouches down and scoops snow into her gloved hands, marveling at it. It works like sand, but colder, and as her fingers start to go numb, it begins to melt. Like ice cream, she thinks, and dips her head down for a taste. Water. It's ice. Ice falling from the sky. She laughs, then, her voice cracking a little, genuine delight

Quietly strolling, Shizuru was admiring her surroundings, basking in the white glow the snow seemed to give off. She shook her head, softly smiling as memories of her home flashed briefly in her mind. The snow seemed to remind her of Natsuki.

Suddenly, she was pulled out of her reverie by a whimpering sound. Alarmed, she materializes her naginata, wondering where the sound came from and if she was in any danger. Quickening her steps, Shizuru found herself dumbfounded as she found something - someone?- cowering while sitting on a bench under one of the trees. She casts away her naginata and slowly walks towards the huddled figure.

"Hello?" Shizuru cautiously calls out.
