It was a normal night in the Garden, apart from the starless sky. Amamiya wandered the edge of the Wild Places, unable to sleep. Some nights were worse than others, and this was a bad one. Hopefully, the night air would clear her head

[Zenobia had been running for some time. She stops, catching her breath, tears rolling down her cheeks.]

[I think I lost him... her... it. It couldn't be my father... but it looked the same as the mural in the ruins...]

[Zenobia wipes her eyes, and sees something strange in the distance. Did someone just... teleport in? She makes her way over just in time to hear Shiner's words.]

What... what's going on?

Shiner's eyes flickered in the direction of the newcomer. She smiled. "Oh, look at that. The other thing I was looking for showed up too! My lucky day."

She vanished in a burst of light, and reappeared directly behind Zenobia, one hand already reaching back to strike with two fingers. Amamiya was already running towards her at her (very impressive) top speed, sword gleaming through the air, shouting out a warning.

"The... other thing you were looking for?"

Zenobia is caught completely off guard. Shiner will be able to strike her easily.

Shiner's fingers, strengthened and accelerated with her Rise abilities, dig deep into Zenobia's back, boring holes through flesh and muscle.

Amamiya gets there a moment later, swinging her sword horizontally above Zenobia's head, but by then Shiner's already vanished again, reappearing a few meter away.
