And, honestly, while this is something she should be prepared for after what had happened with Venom, it's a hell of a lot different when it's someone she has a much more significant relationship with. Of course there is a way back, but that doesn't mean it can be accessed at will or that anyone knows what it is. It simply can't be found. People just vanish out of nowhere. You are not allowed to choose whether you leave or not. If that option was available, I would be long gone. I'd certainly have followed them out of this whole mess.
