[Ky sits on the ground, looking earnestly at the Vine. She's at least externally calm (internally confused and annoyed) because no matter what this place is, she isn't going to stay here for long. She refuses.]
Excuse me?
[She presumes she's talking to some sort of video network, anyway. She hopes so, although trusting the cats on what

[She could be wrong. But... Between the uniform and the attitude, Sol has the sinking feeling she isn't. And, honestly, while this is something she should be prepared for after what had happened with Venom, it's a hell of a lot different when it's someone she has a much more significant relationship with. So, before she calls on the Vine to let her reply, she does a lot of staring.]
[When she finally does decide to answer - because, hell, this isn't really something she can just leave alone - it's only after she's spent a good deal of time deciding on the best way to approach the situation. An unusual amount of time, really. There's a very carefully composed opening in her head when she appears in the mirror...]
[...Not that is actually gets used, because, seriously, what the hell.]
...Ky?
Reply
That is me.
Am I expected?
[Her brow is wrinkled as she continues to try to place the other, but she doesn't have that long of a list of female acquaintances to run through before she finds that she still doesn't know who it could be.]
Reply
[Well, this is pretty awkward. Sol rubs the back of her neck, at something of a loss now that she's botched her glorious opening strategy.]
...You don't recognize me.
[It's not a question.]
Reply
[Ky's starting to feel pretty confused.]
I feel like I should.
I haven't been here before, have I?
[Except it's not the place that feels familiar, just the woman.]
Reply
[She pauses. Well, too late to back out now...]
Maybe my name will ring a bell.
[...]
Sol Badguy.
Reply
Yeah, maybe. If Sol were a woman.]
Whatever you hope to gain by impersonating him, you're not going to be successful.
[Ky peers close for a second, trying to determine if this is supposed to be some sort of robot copy... But why copy Sol and why change him?
Ky doesn't get it.]
Reply
[But, well, this at least confirms...something.]
Not impersonating anyone. This is just something this place does.
Reply
What, turns people into women?
[Ky considers that for a second.]
You must hate that.
Reply
[Hrm, how to put it... Excuse her while she puts on her Scientist Cap.]
Guessing multiverse theory wasn't part of your education.
Reply
Multiverse theory? Doesn't sound relevant.
[It sounds like Ky is about to be subjected to an explanation which is both going to be wrong and not actually explain anything, if you ask her.]
Reply
Shut up and listen.
[She'll wait.]
Reply
At least that way she can sort out the truth of the matter.]
Reply
Sol folds her arms as well, but the gesture doesn't seem irritated.]
... Alternate universes. You've heard of those, right?
Reply
[If they weren't doing this over a video feed Ky would be even grumpier, but she doesn't want to risk Sol -- if that's who she is -- cutting her off.]
Reply
[She pauses for a moment, but- Well, so long as she's already expositing.]
Where I'm from, I've always been a woman and you've always been a man. Guessing the reverse is true for you.
Reply
Where you're from...
It isn't possible for there to be a world where I'm a man!
[ Ky doesn't have a reason for why it isn't possible, just that it doesn't feel right. ]
What would the purpose of such a universe be?
