I'm not...exactly sure. But I can tell you what happened.

Those caves appeared suddenly, and of course we all decided to explore...there were monsters in them, and treasure and stuff. But I think they all belonged to Echidna, and the Queen wasn't supposed to let us go in. So Echidna got angry and tried to turn all of us into monsters.

So, it doesn't seem like our queeny is the only one with muscle. But Miss Monster doesn't sound like the cooperative type...

There's been nothing about Echidna since then...but...the Queen makes a lot of mistakes. I think she tries to do good things, but she messes up a lot, and she always seems to need our help to fix things.

But her name...the "Queen of Hearts"...I've been thinking maybe, she gets her strength from our hearts. So the more people who believe in her--well, a lot of people here don't like her, so maybe that's why she can't do much right.

She might have sort of good--even if really weird--intentions, but that doesn't change that what she's doing is pretty bad. Most people here probably have good reasons for not liking her.

I...I know. I'm sorry. I don't think she's doing the right thing, either, but...without her, I wouldn't exist anymore. And neither would Alfimi, or Kuja, or...a lot of my other friends.

[ She can relate to that; she died and was brought back by beings that ultimately became her enemy. Alfimi died when they were defeated and Excellen lives every day aware that the same is very likely to happen to her someday. ]

I'm happy for that. Having Sweetheart back and being able to meet you are both wonderful things.

Meeting...me? [she's flattered.] Thank you...I just wish there was a way to make the Queen realize her mistakes. She almost sent everyone who wanted to go home back once, but...then she said she was lonely and didn't do it.
