5th Mission [Dream]
[It's a wonderful day in the dystopian, post-apocalyptic city of Edge. The sun is shining, and the extensive damage caused by monster attacks has all been repaired, the debris cleared away. In the distance, the hulking, toxic ruins of what was once the great metropolis of Midgar look almost poignant rather than depressing.
The city's central square is festooned with banners and flowers; it's a celebration of some kind. A festival--no, judging by the arrangement of the crowd, the dais set up, and the young couple at the center of everyone's attention, it must be a wedding.
A blond man dressed in white is officiating, his expression half-bored, half-smirk. As for the happy couple, they are none other than Reno and Claire Bennett, aka Kitty. Reno is wearing a fancier (and surprisingly neater) version of her usual uniform, but Kitty is dressed in a dazzling gown of white and scarlet, into the design of which the ShinRa logo has tastefully been incorporated.
A helicopter flies overhead, the wind from its whirling blades stirring the hair and clothes of the attendees. From within the aircraft, someone releases a shower of red and white rose petals, and they drift slowly to the ground, dancing in the breeze.
The music that's playing is a bit incongruous, perhaps, but otherwise it's quite a beautiful scene. Reno holds Kitty's hands and gazes into her eyes (trying to remember that they are kitty eyes and not creepy Sephiroth eyes), while Rufus says some stupid stuff about marriage that she's not paying attention to.]
