[The Vine opens on a setting that is uncharacteristic of the Gardens. It appears to be a dimly lit laboratory. The walls are pale gray, with dark screens that flicker with green, displaying data that may or may not be meaningless. There is a low humming, from the lights or machinery. She is not human. [Sephiroth doesn't know what she is, having seen the woman dissolve into a cloud of black mist.] I'm not sure what might work, so I would be willing to try anything that did not harm her.

She is very distressed. I would rather not have to keep her contained, as it clearly pains her.

An understandable thing to wonder, but as you may know, people here may come from different time periods, even if they share a world of origin.

She knows me, and our connection is undeniable.

[She would like assistance, but she is not sure how Reeve can assist her. Talented though the woman is, the situation does not call for one of her experience.]

I don't believe that's necessary, Reeve. I would prefer to keep her away from others for now, unless they can be of assistance.

[The woman is violent and cannot be effectively disarmed, but more than that, she does not know if she wants someone from her world to see Kadaj as she is: so like Sephiroth herself, yet so viciously angry and erratic.]

You may come for that purpose, if you wouldn't mind. [That is a good idea, considering the unreliable nature of the Gardens. She feels confident she can contain Kadaj, but it's best to be cautious. She will simply keep Reeve away from the young woman.]

I worry that the presence of others might upset her further, but as I've never been in such a situation, I'm not sure what the wisest course of action might be.

I met her for a little bit already. Even if she barely knows me, I'm not a total stranger and I can handle a dangerous person.

If she's a good girl, she gets shown where she can get food for herself. If she doesn't behave herself, she gets a smack upside the head until she learns. It's better than what the Queen would do if she hurts someone.

[Sephiroth considers, then shakes her head slowly.] I have seen people driven mad on the field of battle, and it was something like this. I don't believe that is the way to deal with mental disturbance.

She does not need to eat. I do not think she is truly a child, though she acts like one at times. [She is not sure what Kadaj is, which is troubling.]

[She pauses.] I admit, it is upsetting, and strange. I'm not sure what to think.

She is screaming now because she wants me to release her. [Sephiroth doesn't like to keep someone prisoner like this, and on some level, it disturbs her to keep Kadaj contained, although she doesn't know why.] I feel that would be unwise at this juncture.
