It's a total pain in the ass! The only pro here is that this isn't bizarro-Gardens, and you aren't all zombies.

[brands]

[Bizarro...zombies. Fang's going to pretend she understands this, 'cause that's how she rolls.] Got it. Sorry to disappoint, then. It looks like quite a few of us are getting stuck here again, so you're not the only one, at least.

That's right. Me and Vanille beat you to it. We just got back a little while ago.

More or less. I can feel sorry for you, if you'd like. I'll even throw in a comforting shoulder pat.

What was it like? When you went back, I mean.

[brands]

Same as always, but I couldn't remember this place. [a lazy shrug.] We weren't there for long, but time's a bit out of whack here. I've got no idea how long we were gone.

[gravityfists]

I thought so. [ she frowns ] I don't remember doing anything to end back up here, or anything to leave in the first place. Which is never a good thing. If there was some sort of pattern to it, we'd be able to work something out.

[brands]

That's how it worked for us too. Or...didn't work. [she scoffs, crosses her arms.] A pattern would be too easy. The Queen wants us stuck for a good long while, I'd wager. I wouldn't be surprised if she just forgot to keep us here, and that's how we ended up back home.

[gravityfists]

Wouldn't surprise me. My only other working theory was that she was satisfied with me going from “probably straight” to “slightly less fussy.” But I guess she's got big plans for us all!

[brands]

Ha! Yeah, she's got big plans all right. It's likely she won't be content until we're all paired off.

[gravityfists]

I've already been paired off. Where's my ticket outta here?

[brands]

[an amused snort.] Maybe it's a one-way trip.
