Homeless Plant

[The emptiness of her temple after the opening ceremony's been getting to her. It's the Temple of Zephyr, and yet it isn't the Temple. There aren't the usual sounds. No priests randomly stumbling into her room in an inebriated state or slipping in to cuddle. No laughter, talking, and other activity. Just quiet emptiness. And the vista outside, as ( Read more... )

Hello, my name's Zenobia. I'm new here.

I've been looking for a place as well. I mean, a place with people. I've been sleeping in different places in the Necessities and just wherever I can find a place to crash, but I'm starting to feel lonely.

That temple looks very impressive, though. But I guess it's no good without anyone else there?

It is not merely that. This temple, to me, is a phantasm of the past. An attempt to cling on to an illusion of stability, the very thing that Zephyr teaches not to do.

That does certainly seem to have wisdom to it. What is this "Zephyr" of which you speak? Also, I've never met anyone with skin that color. It's very pretty.

The goddess Zephyr, who walks in joy as she brings spring and chaos. And, why, thank you. That is rather an adorable wing you have.

Wow, she sounds great. The only goddess I ever heard about on my world disappeared a long time ago.

[Her eyes widen as she hears Melia's comment about her wing.] R-really? It's not disgusting?

Truly is she a great goddess, and that is why I serve her. And, yes, it has its own exotic beauty.

Will I be able to learn more of her by visiting this temple you speak of? Even if it is an imitation...

Oh wow, thank you. This place is so wonderful. Nobody gets upset about my wing. And there are so many cute girls.

At the very least, you could examine the murals within.

I think I'll do that. Do they tell a story?

I hope you can find a place to stay with a lot of people and activity. I'd like a place like that, too, but I guess I need to get to know people better first.

If they were to tell a story, it would be stories of things close to her. The activities we worshipers undertake, that she as well as we take joy in.

Wow. It sounds happy and somewhat enticing.

If Zephyr was present within this place, I would be attempting to entice you...

Entice me? [Zenobia looks confused for a moment, but she is so very curious.] You mean...? That... sounds exciting. Could you elaborate?

To enter into her worship. But I wonder... I can at least speak of her teachings and hope it inspires some here to live a little more freely. That would be the best honor I could pay to her within this place, greater than rituals she will never see, hear, or feel.

I'd be interested to hear about that. I'm all for living freely. So if you want a student, I'd be willing.

If you already live freely, then you have already learned the most important lessons Zephyr has to learn.
