Stella the laptop decided to GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK and black out THE ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE OF HER SCREEN. Finally got through to Batteries Plus on the advice of the decidedly non-Chuck-esque at Best Buy after their creepy Stella-probing, and hallelujah! They had one in stock! THE ODDS. So i hopped in the car, navigated the winding roads of Palin Land, and forked over $102 for a new battery.

Drove back home, plugged it in, and Stella...still...died.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get .avi files (like downloaded movies and tv episodes) to play on a TV? I have burnable DVDs--is there a program i can download somewhere that'll burn them in such a way that they'll play like a regular DVD?
