ugh this entire last week
- subbing 4 days straight at my old high school, in awkward limbo between "former student we feel obligated to talk to" and "substitute teacher so one step above scum of the earth." bleeeegh
- also you know that thing we do where we puff up our favorite teachers in our heads? why do we do the thing
- this one student announced that his mom had kicked him out of the house and he was living in a tent in his back yard and had to sneak in through the window to sleep in the house at night
- so i reported it...two days later
- (i feel really guilty-sick about not reporting it sooner and cried all the way home after I did)
- only it turns out this student was VOLUNTARILY camping in his back yard
- so...yeah
in January
and moving to Italy
in June
because he is in the army as an emt
and you have to be married six months before they will fly your spouse to where you are for free
i...well, i talked to her about it last night (making sure that she understood that i was very happy for her and that it just seemed very rushed), but she is...very, very happy about everything, so.
this means I'll have two friends of the core high school group married within a month of each other? jfc
